Betamax's offering Jumblo.com increases call rates to India taking it from 1.2 cents to 1.6 cents/minute

We are not very glad to see that they have increased their prices from 1.2 cents/minute to 1.4 cents/minute for calls to India (Mobile) and 1.6 cents/minute for calls to India (Landline). Although, this increase is significantly small but those who registered with them will feel cheated as this kind of increase is unwarranted. Betamax is quite infamous for doing this kind of price increase for their well established service. Probably it is inevitable for them or it could be their business tactics. Only an insider can provide the true rationale behind this price increase.

They did the same with Actionvoip where they started with cheapest service and then when many users bought their service they increased the price. Nevertheless, there is no doubt about their call quality and the added benefit of using your sip phone or a smart phone such as a blackberry or iPhone to make calls using wi-fi or 3G service where available. This not only saves your provider minutes but also provides you the flexibility of avoid using your computer or laptop to make cheap calls to India and other countries for that matter.

We have been blogging about many services recently but nothing has yet beaten YupeePhone. As far as I know it will be very hard for any voip provider to beat YupeePhone in near future because YupeePhone provides you cheap calls to India and other cheap international calls at minimal prices. Their prices are almost equal to the prices only available to wholesale voip providers. We wish someone beat their prices and we get to instantly post about it. After all, it is about consumers who are the backbone of any voip provider.
