well.. this leaves us with call rates. the call rates are $1.79 per minute. and in $10 we get 559 minutes of calling. (without including taxes and fees)

With india ld i am getting for $7+tax= $9.1 gives = 1000 minutes.
(with only problem being expiring minutes in a month)

ReplyDeleteThat was a great observation, quite informative too. Rebtel can afford to charge that much because their quality is much better than many other voip service providers.
IndiaLD is pretty good but it is the monthly restriction as well as limited availability of local access numbers that allows them to keep their rates so low. For some customers that doesn't appeal much but it works for some. This is why both IndiaLD and Rebtel, and others for that matter, are in business and still growing.
We hope we will see more competition but considering the fact that decent quality wholesale voip calls to India cost around 1.1 cent/minute, we do not anticipate much competition in foreseeable future.
