http://www.ringplus.net provides free calls to its users. They claim to be the leaders of ringtone replacement technology. I am not sure how long they can compete with voip service providers because voip service providers are lowering their prices day by day. But hey nothing beats free. Basically, when you dial a number you hear the ringtone when the phone rings at the other end. However, instead of that ringtone here you hear an advertisement. That is where the company is making money. Moreover, they provide free calls to (almost) all the countries in the world and that too for free. Following are the steps you need to take in order to call your loved ones back home for free.
It seems our prediction has come true. They could not compete with the load of customers who wanted to make free calls. However, they haven't stopped their operations. They only ask for $10 in your account to let you use their services. There is certain duration that is free and if you chat no longe than that then your $10 is safe and will not be utilized. However, if you keep talking longer and longer you will be charged from your balance.
P.S. Sometimes their system is overloaded and you might want to keep trying in order to get a free slot. Have patience, it works most of the times and worth trying again.
- Go to http://www.ringplus.net
- Register with them and check your email for your account number and pin number.
- Dial one of the many access numbers and enter your account number and pin.
- Dial 011 + country code + destination number.
- Listen to an ad and if you are interested in the product being offered press *, otherwise wait till your party picks up the phone.
- Talk to them for the period specified. It is 7 minutes of free calls to India and 15 minutes of free calls for Thailand. Still better than other voip service providers right?
- When it gets cut repeat steps 3 to 7 to enjoy unlimited free calls to India and rest of the world.

but this is just for USA area
ReplyDeletebut ring plus seems to have stopped the free call service... when i am trying to call it says you have reached the max number of calls for the day for the first call
ReplyDeleteThe service is still working but there is a limit on how many calls you can make to a particular country. It depends on their budget for that country and the calls made in that day.
ReplyDeleteNow ringplus is working for anyone ? It is asking for minimum 10$ credit to make a call
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. You are right, Ringplus has now changed the way you make free calls. Now, you need to have a minimum balance of $10 to make free calls. If you add $10 to your account you can still continue to make free calls but if you go over your free call limit they will deduct it from your balance. I do not think this will work. Most of the users, probably, will be detracted from them.
ReplyDeleteCan I call to Uk mobile for free from US mobile or any charges?
ReplyDeleteUsually UK mobiles are one of the expensive destinations. The bigger fishes such as free411 and ringplus are not offering free calls to UK mobiles. However, you can use mediaringtalk for uk landline phones.
