How to register if you are already a Rebtel customer

ReplyDeleteI wanted to try the last part of this article. For calling India Rebtel charges 1.69 cent where as India Ld 1.2 cent(net price) local phone 1.5 cent. Both of them have same call quality like Rebtel. Hence I find Rebtel is good only when there is a offer. The effective call charges to India comes around 0.85 cent/minute if we consider the above offer. But this offer is valid for new customers only. I believe 80% of subscribers of this blog already have an account with Rebtel, even I do. I tried to hack by using a new google voice number and emailaddress. But it is not working. I even canceled my old account. Still "no".I would like to know if anyone succeeded in doing so. If "yes" please let me know that.

ReplyDelete@Anony: Rebtel has a better call quality than IndiaLD. Both have decent call quality so the difference is not apparent during normal calling conditions. We agree that Rebtel is beneficial with offers. We have tried registering using Google Voice accounts and it worked just fine. Please let us know what happens when you try to register.

With respect to comment#2, I am getting "page error, Oops Something is not quite right." I guess server is tracking my IP address rather my new details. If this is true then I'm just wondering if there are 4 different people sharing a single apartment, only one can register with rebtel using a single computer.

ReplyDeleteIt should not be the case. I am not sure what is wrong because everyone else seem to be able to use it. Even if you have two phone numbers, you can register two accounts for each phone number, so shared internet connection is not a problem. I can only suggest you to try a different PC.
