Save the Internet before it is too late - learn how SOPA and PIPA will hurt you, me, and others

Today, January 18th, 2011, we are joining 100s of websites to stop SOPA and PIPA. Please read and learn more why you should care about it.

SOPA (Stop online piracy act) and PIPA (protect IP act) are two bills before Congress to censor the contents on the Internet. While we, ourselves at Free Calls Hub, have been hurt by content copy and other similar issues, we do not think that that Congress has the right solution to the problem of Piracy.

We have read the SOPA and PIPA and found that there are things that can hurt us in so many stupid ways.

How can SOPA and PIPA hurt us?

Free Calls Hub is open for comments as we believe that the best way to serve our readers is to listen to their questions and feedbacks on the offers we post. If a reader posts a comment that has content taken from some other website, the other website can file a complain against us and we can get ceased.
"This will mandate bloggers to monitor the entire internet to make sure all the content including comments are not posted elsewhere. This will require hiring a lot of people for monitoring and Lawyers who can answer the notices served under those acts. This, as you can see, will increase a blog's running expenses and will eventually kill the blog."
Congress has done it only because of some selfish lobbyists. Oops we might get under for saying that. However, people like O'Reilly (the book publisher) who suffer from pirated book problems are against SOPA - read what Tim O'Reilly says about SOPA.

What can you do to save Internet?

Hit the (+1) Google+ button to show that you are against SOPA. For every 10 likes we will donate $1 to Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC). Please donate directly to them if you care for the Internet.

Call your member of Congress - get number and the script by PCCC here.

Websites like Google, Reddit, Craigslist, Yahoo, Wikipedia and a lot of your favorite websites have joined against SOPA and PIPA. So should you to save them.

Internet is awesome for one reason - it is open to everyone. If they censored it you would not see any new site being launched because the expense of hiring tech and law needed will only be a prerogative of rich and affluent. Call these Senators to meet with their constituents before January 24th meeting.
