Fring launches Skype Video calls over mobile phones

We have been talking about Fring whenever we introduced a SIP based VOIP service by any VOIP service provider such as in this post. Fring is being used by people who have an internet data plan or access to wi-fi over their cell phones. It comes handy when the other party that you usually call is online using his pc or cell phone using any IM such as yahoo gtalk or Skype. You can make free calls to the world using your phone this way. With increasing competition such newer applications are being developed.

We are covering this news here at our free calls blog because this is the first time fring allows you to make Video Calls over Skype using your phone. This is definitely great for people with smart phones and PDA's that support wi-fi. Now you have the freedom to make free video calls to your loved ones anywhere in the world.

The only catch here is that Fring's current version only works with Nokia phones. If you are a proud Nokia phone owner you are good to download Fring from here.
How to make Video Calls:

1) Install Fring on your cell phone.

2) Enter your skype username and password to login to fring.

3) When you see a friend online click on Video call.

4) To receive an incoming call press the video call button (This is next to the answer call button, answer call will put you on voice talk mode not video)
