Can/should you get this plan?

This plan got so much attention that MetroPCS had to increase the price and reduce the availability to only certain plans. According to their website only following plans can use this offer:

Now, obviously there is a catch. You need to enroll for their wireless service paying at least 40$/month. Nevertheless, no mobile service with sufficient minutes is cheaper than this.
